Split Licensing
Split Licensing is a feature that will allow users to take advantage of different license tiers, within different physical areas of their environment.
Example, an account has both retail and workspace within a single tenant. Split licensing would allow this tenant to enable Extend licensing within their workspaces, and Act within their retail locations, whilst maintaining both spaces within a single account.
Smart Licensing must first be enabled to take advantage of split licensing features.
For details on how to enable Smart Licensing please see the relevant section in our Cisco Spaces Configuration Guide.
Base License
The Base License refers to the default license all elements in the hierarchy should adopt. This is generally set to the lowest license tier in the account.
To set the Base License, head to the face in the top right of Spaces > My Account > License Information.
Click Change next to the Base License, to change the tier.

Location License
This is the license applied to a section of the hierarchy.
To set this, navigate to Location Hierarchy and enabled the Beta UI flag.
Navigate to an element of the Location Hierarchy, and select Change next to License Level to select the appropriate license level.
The license configured here will reflect down to all children within the hierarchy.
